2008 Military Bowling Championships Largest Ever!

Greetings from Las Vegas!

Starting with the Opening Ceremonies to the final ball rolled to the Breakfast Awards Party, we hope you agree that this was an incredible week!

If you missed the festivities, you missed a lot and we hope that you will be able to join us next year! But don't wait too long to get your team together because for the 1st time in its 43 year history, the Military Bowling Championships was filled to capacity. 175 teams participated and there wasn't an empty lane to be found.

The event has had several homes over the years, starting with the Nellis Air Force Base Bowling Center in the mid '60's, Showboat/Castaways for over 30 years and now its present home at Gold Coast. It has also undergone some name changes as well. But the party, camaraderie and re-union aspect that the event brings hasn't changed except to increase!

We are pleased to announce that we will be returning to the Gold Coast and Orleans January 18 - 22, 2009 with the Breakfast Awards Party on the 23rd.

Brigadier General Everett Thomas delivered his Welcome Address and rolled out the first ball after ESPN's Randy Pedersen presented him with a one-of-a-kind Storm ball with his name engraved. The General didn't throw a strike but he did get the event going in a huge way! The Faith Lutheran High School choir gave us their rendition of the National Anthem and we were off and running!

You can see all of the results here and at www.high-roller.com including pictures and stories.
